Senior Software Engineer — Markup

Markup is Github for documents. We’re building software to change the way large teams collaborate. We're a well-funded, fast-moving RegTech startup (backed by numo) with real enterprises on the roster and an active business development pipeline.

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience working on an enterprise web application to help us build upon our one-of-kind enterprise document management software.

Contributions:

• Help build and refine a modern web application from scratch
• Help found a company and be comfortable building the airplane while flying it
• Mentor junior engineers and developers as necessary

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of hands-on web app development experience
• Expertise in at least one modern programming language; experience with React, Typescript, GraphQL, Golang, or PostgreSQL highly preferred
• A passion for building tools that enable people to collaborate
• Bachelors or Masters in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience

Nice to have, but not required:

• Prior startup experience
• Prior experience in enterprise software development, especially in RegTech or financial services
