Head of Marketing - indi product

About the role:

This is an amazing opportunity for a smart, passionate, product marketer who is excited to lead marketing and brand efforts for an impactful product in the fintech space. Finance is perceived as a traditional, stale industry. You’ll be tasked with the responsibility of crafting fresh messaging that resonates with our users.

Here’s what you’ll be working on:

indi is one-of-a-kind digital banking product targeted at self-employed workers and freelancers who are part of the rapidly growing gig economy. We built indi to address the financial challenges faced by these customers in a unique way.

Responsibilities:

  • Define strategies for product marketing, branding, earned media, paid media, and email marketing.
  • Strengthen the indi brand by effectively communicating our brand promise, our mission, and our values in a way that empowers independent workers.
  • Create, execute, and optimize user acquisition and brand awareness campaigns across digital and social platforms and strategic partnerships. 
  • Test and evolve our paid and organic social strategies across channels, surfacing and distributing key insights.
  • Design and build user activation and engagement campaigns to maximize customer retention.
  • Write promotional copy for website, App Store and Google Play listings, emails, print collateral, and other customer-facing communications. 
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and customer success teams on a daily basis to efficiently manage projects.
  • Support the business development team in sales efforts, communicating indi's value proposition to prospective partners and creating pitch assets.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in marketing; some experience in consumer technology or other B2C industries is preferred.
  • Experience building a high-performing marketing team in a hyper-growth environment is desirable. 
  • Demonstrated experience with digital customer acquisition and ability to drive usage and revenue for emergent products.
  • Passionate storyteller with strong writing skills and the ability to distill complex ideas into simple concepts.
  • A knack for finding creative, fresh ways to explain traditional ideas.
  • Strong empathy for the end user.
  • Independent problem solver who can roll up sleeves and get things done.
  • Personal finance knowledge/experience is a big bonus, but not required.
