Technical Product Manager

Markup is a fast-growing startup seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our remote-first team. As Technical Product Manager, you’ll bring your product skills plus engineering and user experience instincts to play a critical role in leading our product through needs analysis, implementation of solutions, and measuring the impact of those solutions, as we build on and deliver this world-class enterprise product. This is a highly cross-functional and hands-on position that requires someone who’s comfortable with (and excited by!) working with software developers, designers, and business stakeholders.

 

What you’ll work on:

  • Participate in the product lifecycle from discovery to prioritization, design, development, user acceptance testing, pilot testing, and launch
  • Maintain and improve upon an actionable product roadmap, helping shape the product vision and strategy in collaboration with business, design, and engineering teams
  • Serve as a product owner within an agile scrum team, writing user stories, prioritizing the development backlog, and working closely with engineers on the team
  • Use product management tools to groom backlogs, gather user feedback, and analyze product usage patterns
  • Develop qualitative and quantitative measurement tools for evaluating product engagement, prioritizing features, and driving strategy
  • Document customer-facing business processes and translate them into product requirements
  • Proactively detect misalignment and risk; gain consensus on appropriate actions to mitigate negative impact
  • Monitor release process and communicate with stakeholders and customers

 
What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years experience developing enterprise software products, technologies and/or platforms
  • Hands-on experience with product collaboration tools (Asana, Jira, Slack, Google, Microsoft, etc.)
  • A track record managing successful projects from feature definition to project deployment
  • Ability to collaborate, build consensus, deliver, and drive technical decisions with various sized customer stakeholder groups
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical leadership, project/program management, analytical problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • BA or BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Product Management, Product Design, or similar field preferred
